Scoutt (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a child development platform designed to help families in the United Kingdom discover activities, therapies, childcare, schools, and personalised development support for every child — of any age, ability, or background.

By accessing or using the Scoutt website at scoutt.co.uk you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

Scoutt acts as an information directory only. We do not provide therapy, childcare, educational, medical, or any other professional services ourselves.

All information about providers listed on Scoutt — whether sourced from Google Maps, submitted directly by providers, or obtained from third parties — is provided for general information purposes only. We make no representations or warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or availability of any provider, service, or information displayed on Scoutt.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scoutt expressly disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or harm — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your reliance on information found on this platform or from your engagement with any provider found through Scoutt.

It is your sole responsibility as a parent or guardian to independently verify any provider before allowing them to work with your child or family.

Before engaging any provider you find through Scoutt, we strongly recommend that you:

• Check that the provider holds a current enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check where appropriate.
• Confirm they hold relevant professional qualifications and are registered with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g. HCPC, RCSLT, BACP, BPS, Ofsted).
• Verify that they hold adequate professional indemnity and/or public liability insurance.
• Request and check references independently.
• Satisfy yourself that they are suitable for your child’s specific needs before commencing any sessions.

Scoutt may display a “Verified” badge on certain provider listings. This badge indicates only that the provider has submitted verification information to Scoutt and that information has been reviewed by our team — it is not a guarantee of the provider’s suitability, qualifications, or conduct. Verification badges should be treated as one data point among many, not as a substitute for your own due diligence.

Providers may submit their details to appear on Scoutt. By doing so, providers warrant that all information submitted is accurate, up to date, and does not infringe any third party rights. Scoutt reserves the right to approve, reject, or remove any listing at our sole discretion, without notice.

Scoutt does not endorse any listed provider. The inclusion of a provider on our platform does not constitute a recommendation.

Signed-in parents may submit references for providers who are listed on Scoutt. By submitting a reference you confirm that it is based on your genuine personal experience, is truthful, and does not contain defamatory, offensive, or misleading content. Scoutt reviews references before they are published and reserves the right to reject or remove any reference for any reason.

References are not verified assessments. They represent the personal opinion of the submitting parent only.

Scoutt provides a tool that drafts and sends enquiry emails to providers on your behalf, using information from your profile. By using this feature you authorise Scoutt to send emails in your name and to share the relevant profile information with the specific provider you are contacting. Scoutt is not responsible for a provider’s response or failure to respond.

All content on the Scoutt platform, including text, logos, graphics, and software, is owned by or licensed to Scoutt and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Scoutt uses third-party services including Google Maps Platform, Supabase, Resend, and others to deliver its features. Your use of Scoutt is also subject to those providers’ terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party data.

Your use of Scoutt is subject to our Privacy Policy. We take the privacy of families and children seriously. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Your continued use of Scoutt after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
